FAQ
About monitoring visits
- What do you do during the monitoring visit?
- A support worker will visit each home to check on the child's situation and the situation of the caregiver.
We anticipate a 5-minute response at your doorstep.
- Is it okay if my child is not present on the day of the monitoring visit?
- Unless it is unavoidable, such as when your child is sleeping, we will ask you to bring your child to the entrance to check on their condition.
- Can I specify a time when I visit?
- You cannot specify a time, but we will notify you of the time of our visit in the afternoon two days before the visit. The visit time will be either 1 (9:00-11:00), 2 (11:00-13:00), 3 (13:00-15:00), or 4 (15:00-17:00).
- What happens if I am not there on the day of my visit?
- We will put a return visit contact form in your mailbox. Please set another visit date.
Please note that monitoring visits are once a month, so if you make a repeat visit or change the visit date to the next month, or if the visit date is moved later, the number of visits may decrease.

- This will be handled by those who are raising children on a daily basis.
About receiving the product
- As I am short on time, is it possible to just receive the goods without a home visitation?
- Since this is a project whose purpose is to watch over each family, we will not be able to hand over the products if we cannot receive face-to-face monitoring.
- Is it possible for you to deliver just the goods to a designated area?
- Since this is a project aimed at monitoring each family, we will not be able to hand over the products if you are unable to receive face-to-face monitoring. Therefore, placement is also not possible.
About visit date
- I have already specified a date and applied, but things have become inconvenient. Is it possible to change the visit date?
- You can change the date of your visit from your My Page up to 5 days before your scheduled visit (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays). If you wish to make any changes, please cancel and reapply. Please note that depending on the application status, you may not be able to select your desired visit date. Also, visit dates fill up in real time, so once you cancel to make a change, you may not be able to go back to the date you originally applied for.
- How many times can I visit again?
- Re-visits are limited to one time. If you are unable to watch over them when you return, you will not be able to receive the childcare supplies you applied for.
- Can I request a return visit on the same day?
- We can’t offer redelivery on the same day. If you’re not at home, you will be asked to select your redelivery date from your My Page.
- What time of day will the visitation come?
- We will visit you from 9:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. You will be notified in the afternoon two days before the visit whether we will visit you at time slot 1 (9:00 to 11:00), 2 (11:00 to 13:00), 3 (13:00 to 15:00), or 4 (15:00 to 17:00). If we are going to be late for the agreed time due to traffic conditions, etc., we will contact you in advance.
- I understand that I’m able to apply up to 12 times, but is it possible to do so even if my child is over one year old provided it is within the number of times permitted?
- Please apply by the time your child reaches the 11th month of their last visit.
- Who is eligible to apply?
- Families with children born on or after Apr 1, 2023. Those who are currently pregnant are eligible to apply in advance.
About registration
- The guidance documents have been delivered to my home, but do I have to register for everyone?
- Use is voluntary. If you wish to use this service for your business, please register a dedicated website.
- By when do I need to register on the dedicated website?
- There is no deadline, but please register and apply no later than your child's 11th month. If your registration is delayed, the number of times you can apply may be reduced.
- I am late registering and won’t be able to complete 12 applications before my child turns one year old. Would you allow me to apply for goods in bulk?
- Since this is a regular monitoring project, it is not possible to apply for products all at once.
About the procedure
- What if I want to change my account registration information?
- You can change your registered email address, password, etc. from the menu tab on the dedicated site, so please follow the on-screen instructions. The same applies if you change your name or move within Shinagawa Ward.
About application
- I am late in registering and am unable to complete all 12 applications by the time my child turns 1 year old. Is it possible to apply for childcare supplies all at once?
- Since this is a project for regular monitoring, it is not possible to apply for childcare supplies all at once.
- I have multiple eligible children, can I receive childcare supplies for each child? Also, do I need to apply for each child?
- You may apply for as many children as you have and those applications can be submitted at the same time. In addition, the visitations we provide are done on the basis of the family as a whole, so if there is more than one child in the home, they are all covered by one visitation.
- Is it possible to apply for monitoring visit day/childcare supplies only once a month?
- You will be able to apply next time after making a monitoring visit and receiving childcare supplies instead of at monthly intervals. It takes about 3 weeks to prepare the product, so the delivery time will be approximately 1 month.
Regarding changes, cancellations, and defective products
- I have submitted an application, but is it possible to have it changed to another childcare product?
- There is a deadline for making changes to childcare products, so after completing your application, be sure to check the change deadline on the top screen of your My Page.
* If the application date and time is on a Monday and the date and time is before 1:00 PM, the change deadline will be by 1:00 PM on the same day. If the application date and time is after 1:00 PM, the change deadline will be by 1:00 PM the following Monday.
Please note that if the change deadline has passed, any changes you make will not be accepted even if you contact us via the inquiry form.
- I received childcare supplies, but is it possible to change them to something different?
- Changes to childcare products cannot be made after the change deadline, even before the item is received. Please note that we cannot accept discrepancies due to mistakes in the application.
- What should I do if the product I receive is defective or damaged?
- When visiting, we will check the status of childcare supplies and hand them over to you, but in the unlikely event that something like this happens, please contact our call center. After confirming the situation, the person in charge will inform you of the next steps.
About receiving
- Is it possible to directly watch over my child or pick up childcare supplies at the ward office or health center?
- It is not possible to directly watch or receive products at the ward office or health center. In principle, we will visit the home to watch over the child and pick up childcare supplies.
- I don't have much time, so I would like to receive childcare supplies without having to watch over them. Is that possible?
- Since this is a project aimed at monitoring each family, we will not be able to hand over childcare supplies unless we are able to receive face-to-face supervision.
- I would like you to place the childcare supplies I requested. Is that possible?
- This is a project aimed at monitoring each family, so if you are unable to receive face-to-face monitoring, we will not be able to hand over childcare supplies. Therefore, placement is also not possible.
- How long does it take for childcare supplies to arrive after I apply?
- Approximately 2 to 3 weeks after receiving your application, you will be able to select your desired date.
- Is it possible to change the location of the monitoring visit to a location other than the address on the resident record?
- The only place we will visit is the address on your resident record.
